Bevurity was created to solve the real, day-to-day operational headaches that point-of-sale systems ignore: multi-day prep timers, clipboard inventory, lost recipe builds, and messy shift handovers.
Spencer Powell spent over a decade across commercial kitchens and high-volume bars in Metro Vancouver. Starting back-of-house before stepping behind the wood, that kitchen discipline shaped his approach to bar prep efficiency and mise en place. He designed and managed the cocktail program at Steveston's Chef’s Playground Eatery, where regulars affectionately referred to him as the “Chef de Boisson,” and later bartended at Vancouver’s historic Terminal City Club, creating cocktail features and collaborating with banquets teams on pairing dinners.
After stepping away from commercial bar floors in 2020, Spencer launched Chef de Boisson in 2021 to teach cocktail masterclasses, author recipe books, and consult. From his perspective since as both an industry veteran and a patron, he observed and experienced recurring issues such as recipe inconsistency and service disorganization, due to a lack of purpose-built operational tools and adequate training and reference resources.
Pairing that frontline perspective with modern software engineering, Bevurity was built to support beverage programs across cocktail bars, cafes, and restaurants alike. The platform unifies house batch timers, opening and closing checklists, living digital specs, and visual stock takes into one dependable operating system, giving hospitality teams the dedicated operational tools needed to run smooth, consistent shifts.
Bevurity operates as a dual-application ecosystem running on Google Cloud Platform, providing dedicated interfaces for venue operators and their guests.
